Why does heaven matter when talking about prayer? It matters because God has established heaven as the place from which He rules and judges the nations. It is the governmental center of the entire universe. So when we pray we can take confidence that we are praying to the only person who actually has the power and authority to answer our prayers as He is the one enthroned in heaven.
