I went from a life with a very self-centered me first mentality to one that was focused around God. Growing up I knew about God but when I went off to college I didn't feel any connection with Him or any need for Him in my life. I went down the path that most college students do with partying, underage drinking, pot, the whole nine yards. Once I started attending Encounter, God radically transformed my life. My eyes were opened to the indescribable worth of Jesus and the unsurpassable joy and pleasure that comes from knowing Him. My relationship with Jesus went from knowing about Him to feeling and seeing Him at work all around me. It is an honor to gather with other young adults who have a burning passion for the things of God. Encounter is more than just a nice name for another service, it is a place where you can come and actually encounter the King of Glory.
