Encounter is a college and young adult ministry that is based out of New Creation World Outreach Church here in Mankato, MN.  Since its inception in 2008 Encounter has thrived as a local college ministry to all the campuses of the Mankato area.  We are a passionate group that is hungry for God and want to join in with His plans and purposes for our generation.

At Encounter we believe that the gospel is actually quite simple.  Jesus gave us two main commands that every other teaching, theme, and command flows into:

1. The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37) – this is how Jesus defined greatness in His kingdom and what He deemed as the most important thing we could do.  Everything we do as Christians should be out of an overflowing heart of love for Jesus.
2. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-28) – this was the only mission Christ gave to His Church.  We are called to take the gospel into the world and transform society wherever we go.
